Pets Disaster Relief Organizations

URGENT CALL FOR DONATIONS

As the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina takes a devastating toll on the U.S. Gulf Coast 
(Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama) an Urgent Call for Donations is being placed. 
Donations are needed to help the many animal rescue teams that are on the front line helping the animals. 
See the list below:

'UAN' (United Animals Nation  http://www.uan.org

They deploy trained volunteer teams ( Emergency Animal Rescue Service (EARS) to disaster areas to rescue and assist.

'HSUS' (Humane Society of the United States http://www.hsus.org  Their Disaster Animal Response Team (DART)  also goes into these areas and gets the animals out, treats them and helps to return them to their home or to new homes.

ANIMAL HELP http://www.animalhelp.com/hometown/index.cfm is a central clearing house for several organizations
as well as anyone who needs their assistance. They can provide information and connections to many other sites.

Noah's Wish www.noahswish.org  Rescuing and Sheltering animals in disasters.

AKC is accepting donations for the canine victims of Katrina. http://www.akc.org/news/index.cfm?article_id=2599

ASPCA  www.aspca.org - The ASPCA is putting out an urgent call for donations to help animal shelters impacted
by Katrina in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Funds will go to rebuild facilities and assist in their disaster
recovery efforts. Your donations go directly to help the animal victims.
