Pet Safe Plants

You have a house full of plants you love. Which are safe and which are toxic to your dog or cat. Safe houseplants in your home, if an excessive amount of the plant is ingested your pet can vomit and/or have diarrhea. If these conditions persist for any length of time, please contact your veterinarian. With excessive loss of body fluids, it is very easy for your pet to quickly become dehydrated and other serious complications can develop.

Here are some Safe Plants, which you may have or want to bring into your home.

These are just a few safe plants you may consider in your home. Place plants out of the reach of your pet.

Purchase cat grass (barley or wheat) and place it next to your pet's food bowl. Many pets love the taste of fresh grass. Do not place two much out or your pet can become sick as a results of over indulging.


Toxic Plants

If your pet displays any symptoms, such as refusal of food, pale gums or tongue, abdominal pain, convulsions, diarrhea, server or persistent vomiting see your vet immediately. Take a sample of the plant with you if you can identify the plant. This will help aid in a quicker diagnosis and treatment of your pet.
